Second Date (an 80-word love story)
They had dinner 25 years ago, each of them seeing someone else at the time, which had made it feel like cheating.
She remembers they talked about how they each wanted to visit Paris.
There had been a definite attraction, but not enough to pull them away from who they each eventually married. They lost touch.
Now, she is divorced.
He is widowed.
And they are having dinner again at the same restaurant.
She says, “We were talking about Paris…”
